Pfaffenhofen-Tour

Experience the most beautiful sides of Pfaffenhofen and a piece of Bavarian history – either on your own or with experienced city guides.

Curiosity-Tour

Pfaffenhofen is not only home to sights and historically significant buildings, we also have plenty of funny, strange and spooky stories to tell. From the Middle Ages to the present day, there is plenty to tell – and everyone is involved: Town officials and clergy, craftsmen and farmers, men, women and children.

Bunker-Tour

The Pfaffenhofen Fernmeldebunker (telecommunications bunker), a piece of history that was long kept under the strictest secrecy and remained hidden from the knowledge of the civilian population, is now being made accessible to the public. On our bunker tour, we will guide you through the many rooms and winding corridors of the 1,400 m² facility. On the way, you will see filter, ventilation, emergency power and other supply systems and learn everything you need to know about the history of the bunker, the Cold War and feel the oppressive situation in an underground bunker.

The tour guides are also happy to organize excursions, company parties, private celebrations and class reunions with their program.

Geisenfeld’s Dark Times

The scenes of this informative tour, which are essentially based on historical facts and historical characters, take you back to the times of the plague and the unspeakable witch trials, which were associated with much suffering for the population at the time. The viewer experiences the terrible breath of history at first hand.

Geisenfeld Monastery History

The actors of the Stadtstorch group take the audience on a journey back in time to the time of the 30 Years’ War with much suffering and destruction for the abbey and to the time of secularization, as a result of which the nuns were left with nothing. The Geisenfeld master brewer Pongraz, who later became famous at the Hofbräuhaus, also makes an appearance.

Nostalgia & culinary delights in Geisenfeld by night

You will be served a full measure of Geisenfeld pub and brewery history. The tour guide and night watchman, who know a lot about the times and local color, will give you an interesting and humorous insight into the lives of the market population from different centuries. Actors from the Stadtstorch group will entertain you in several scenes. In addition, you will be treated to a culinary 3-course menu in Geisenfeld inns, served with a Bavarian prelude.

Civic Pride and Pillory Punishments

The Geisenfeld Town Stork Ensemble’s “Fourth Prank” promises a scenic tour of the town that is as exciting as it is humorous. The tour sheds light on what the seesaw, mask of shame, Lästerstein and Narrenhäusel are all about.

I work on a farm with a focus on hop growing. Together with my husband, we run a family farm that determines our annual routine. As a master of rural home economics and nutritionist, I also do other things besides hops and give cooking courses, for example, as far as the hop work allows. I have also trained as a hop ambassador, as it is important to me to make the green gold known beyond the borders of the Hallertau.
I am happy to accompany coaches through the Halltertau and/or offer guided tours of our farm. I am particularly interested in explaining the everyday life of a hop farmer and the opportunities and difficulties that this crop brings with it to visitors.
